The consistent use of select typefaces is an important aspect of the Cockrell School brand. The University of Texas at Austin, along with all of its colleges, schools and units, employs two primary families of typefaces — GT Sectra, a serif; and Benton Sans, a sans serif.

Like the color palette, we concede there are occasions to use special fonts, this should be done sparingly. 90% of work at UT can be done using these typefaces.

Benton Sans, GT Sectra & Benton Sans Compressed are licensed fonts.
To request a license, email comm@engr.utexas.edu.
