Academic advisors in the Cockrell School of Engineering are devoted to helping undergraduate students succeed inside and outside the classroom. There are several offices across the Cockrell School that provide academic advising services to students; students may seek guidance throughout the year from Engineering Students Services advisors, department/program advisors and faculty advisors.
Engineering Student Services
The Assistant Dean for Engineering Student Services and the Engineering Student Services advisors represent the Dean in all student matters. Advisors strive to build a strong foundation for academic and professional success for all engineering students through personalized and responsive guidance throughout the four-year college experience.
Department and Faculty Advisors
Each department in the Cockrell School of Engineering has an undergraduate coordinator and/or staff advisor as well as an undergraduate faculty advisor, who are available to advise students throughout the year. New students should visit the undergraduate office in the department of their major, meet the staff associated with the office and get acquainted with the procedures.
