Tutoring Opportunities

The Cockrell School of Engineering provides various opportunities for students to receive academic support via personalized tutoring and academic community centers. The school offers tutoring by department, EOE tutoring, drop-in tutoring via Engineering Study Tables in the new Engineering Education and Research Center (EER) and scheduled appointments through Engineering Student Services. Academic Advising

Academic advisors in the Cockrell School of Engineering are devoted to helping undergraduate students succeed inside and outside the classroom. There are several offices across the Cockrell School that provide academic advising services to students; students may seek guidance throughout the year from Engineering Students Services advisors, department/program advisors and faculty advisors. Ramshorn Scholars Program

The Ramshorn Scholars Program is a first- and second-year engineering academic learning community in the Cockrell School of Engineering dedicated to helping engineering undergraduates transition to college and continue their pattern of academic excellence.

Telang Academic Achievement Program (TAAP)

The Telang Academic Achievement Program (TAAP) offers individualized academic, personal and career development support for second- and third-year engineering students who want additional accountability and community during their time at Cockrell. The program connects students with trained Peer Academic Coaches and resources designed to help them succeed.

UT Austin Initiatives

University programs focused on undergraduate student success help build supportive communities for all incoming students, provide supplemental academic support for students who are struggling, create alternative routes to matriculate, offer incentive-based scholarships tied to performance and ensure students have more opportunities to succeed once on campus.
