STEM Girl Day at UT Austin
We started celebrating Women's History Month early this year as more than 150 volunteers welcomed thousands of Texas schoolchildren to campus to explore the potential for studying engineering. In 2019, a bill passed by the Texas 86th Legislative Session established March 1 as Texas Girls in STEM Day to “encourage girls in this state to consider career fields in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics; and celebrate and honor the women of this state who have excelled in those fields.” Learn more
