Longhorn Engineering
Longhorn Engineering is a free, campus visit for underrepresented high school students interested in learning how engineering shapes our world. African-American, Hispanic, Native Hawaiians and Native American students, as well as those who have overcome social or economic hardship, are encouraged to participate. Longhorn Engineering is open to all students interested in engineering, math and science.
Participants in Longhorn Engineering:
- Interact with members of Pi Sigma Pi Minority Academic Engineering Society, National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and other student ambassadors
- Discover the endless opportunities the Cockrell School offers such as study abroad, research opportunities, First-Year Interest Groups and more
- Learn what it takes to be a successful engineering student and get answers about engineering, the university and student life
