Academic Programs

The Equal Opportunity in Engineering Program invites students to become part of an exciting community focused on academic success and personal growth. EOE initiatives help students establish a strong academic foundation and promote the formation of a peer support network by partnering with student groups Pi Sigma Pi Minority Academic Engineering Society, the National Society of Black Engineers and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers.

EOE Tutoring

The EOE Tutoring Program provides academic support to undergraduate students in the Cockrell School of Engineering through free, one-on-one tutoring sessions for basic sequence and upper-division engineering courses.

First-Year Interest Groups

EOE provides specifc First-Year Interest Groups (FIGs) for participating students. The weekly seminar consists of discussions, presentations, activities, field trips and social activities that focus on students' academic and professional careers. FIGs are a great way to make friends and form study groups, while getting acquainted with college life.

Living Learning Community

The Engineers Exuding Excellence (E3) Living Learning Community in the Jester West Residence Hall provides first-year engineering male students with the opportunity to live together in a supportive, residential community.
