The five-year partnership hopes to leverage the collective strengths of both organizations and create an innovative environment for participants from local, regional, national, and international communities to accelerate the advancement of science and jointly solve challenges of societal and real-world impact.

Advisory Board
Responsibility for the strategic direction and governance of the HUB is handled by an Advisory Board composed of representatives from UT and Amazon.

Al Bovik (Director)
Professor, Chandra Family Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and UT-Amazon Science HUB Director
Bovik is a pioneer in streaming video technology, whose work has been honored twice with Emmy Awards from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Sujay Sanghavi (Associate Director)
Science Hub associate director; associate professor, Chandra Family Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Matt Lease (Board)
Professor, School of Information
Lease is the founder and leader of UT Austin's Good Systems program, an eight-year, university-wide challenge to design responsible AI technologies.

Adam Klivans (Board)
Professor, Computer Science Department at the College of Natural Sciences
Klivans leads the new National Science Foudation AI Institute for Foundations
