Dr. Jorge G. Zornberg, associate professor of civil, architectural and environmentalengineering, received the Achievement Award from the Mexican Chapter of the International Geosynthetics Society “in recognition for his invaluable enthusiasm, dedication and commitment that led to GeoAmericas 2008, the First Pan-American Geosynthetics Conference.”
Dr. Zornberg chaired the GeoAmericas 2008 international conference, which included eight concurrent technical activities, an innovative educational program, a major exhibition, and multiple social events. Approximately 1,000 individuals attended the conference.
