The course number for the Leadership Development Seminar is ESS 222.
Held in the spring semester, the Leadership Development Seminar is an introduction to leadership principles and theories, including effective team communications and conflict resolution. The seminar also includes basic development in areas such as leadership styles, strengths and public speaking.
Important things to know about the seminar:
- Course is only offered in the spring semester
- Course meets weekly on Thursdays, 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM
- Seminar counts for two credit hours and will be taken pass/fail
- To register, students must have completed one year at The University of Texas at Austin
Dynamic speakers lead interactive sessions that stimulate thought-provoking discussion and personal growth. Sessions will introduce concepts such as emotional intelligence, how to influence people and much more.
This is a great personal development seminar for second- and third-year engineering students as well as new transfer students.
